Dear colleges,
Given the success
of the 1st European Landscape Biennial, held in April 1999, with more
than 400 design projects and 250 professionals attending its symposium,
it is our pleasure to inform you that the Association of Architects
of Catalonia (COAC), together with the Master's Program in Landscape
Architecture of the Department of Urban and Regional Planning (DUOT)
of the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), and the Schools
of Architecture of Barcelona (ETSAB) and Vallès (ETSAV) are
organising the 2nd European Landscape Biennial to be held in Barcelona
on April 19-21, 2001.
The aim of the
2nd Biennial is to continue the debate begun at the 1st Biennial on
the most important recent European projects and research work in Landscape.
The Biennial will include exhibitions, conferences, presentations
and round tables to be organised during three days around a symposium.
A catalogue with the landscape projects exposed will be published,
and will be used for the selection of the 2nd Rosa Barba European
Landscape Award.
The Organising
Committee of the 2nd Biennial is currently preparing the selection
of projects. Therefore, if you are interested in showing your work,
please send us information on recent projects (1996-2000) you consider
of interest for the Biennial, following the instructions explained
in the Technical Dossier.
Please send us
the documentation as soon as possible - before February 15th
- so that your work is duly represented when the final selection is
made.
If you want to
continue receiving information on the Biennial, please fill out the
form. We look forward to receiving
any contributions, ideas or suggestions you may have.
Yours faithfully.
