INTERNATIONAL PRIZE FOR
UNIVERSITY PROJECTS IN SCHOOLS OF ARCHITECTURE AND LANDSCAPE AND INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION
International Biennial of Landscape expressed, since its first edition, the will of study and discuss the intervention in the landscape, both from landscape architecture as other disciplines that are linked to its study and evolution.
Once the Biennial consolidated at European level, after seven editions, "Remaking Landscapes" (1999), "insurgents Gardens" (2001), "Only nature" (2003), "Landscape: a product / production" (2006), Storm and Stress (2008), "Liquid Landscapes" (2010), "Biennial versus Biennial" (2012); in its last eight edition, the Biennale approached new landscape realities of the world, through the internationalization of its Landscape Prize Rosa Barba. With "A Landscape for You" (2014), Barcelona opened the international landscape, as it will do this coming September in its 9th edition.
Program
The symposium will take place at the Petit Palau de la Música, on 29 and 30 September to 1 October 2016. It will be formalized in these three days, during which there will be lectures, presentations finalist for the International Prize for Landscape Rosa Barba, presentations and panel discussions.
The organizers of the Biennale are the Association of Architects of Catalonia (COAC) and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Master of Landscape Architecture).
Once again, we open the call for the International Exhibition of University Projects in Schools of Architecture and Landscape. The organizing committee believes that the participation of the didactic works remarkably contributes to enrich the debate on the landscaping. For this reason, we would like you to accept our invitation to this call, providing the best university projects of your school / department / programme / course.
It is in our best interest to stress the submission of those that you consider the most interesting projects of the last two years that can represent both works of investigation and design of your school / department / programme / course.
This year, for the second time, will be launched the International Prize for University Projects thanks to Bank Sabadell Foundation. The winning University will choose one student to travel to Barcelona to attend the Intensive International Workshop
